CPI(M)’s strong response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks.

CPI(M) has strongly criticized Amit Shah's comments on the communist movement in India. Yesterday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah commented that the CPI(M) or CPI was formed in India in 1969. They did not have any goal for the development of the country or the development of the people of the country. Their goal was to end the parliamentary system of the country through armed revolution.

Opposing this comment by the Union Home Minister, the CPI(M) wrote on its Xhandle, "Stop the false propaganda. The CPI(M) was formed in 1964. The party was formed keeping in mind the pioneering role of the Communist Party in the country's freedom movement. From the very beginning, the CPI(M) has been expressing the voice of the people in Parliament and in street protests. The post mocks the BJP and says that no certificate is needed from those who played the role of traitors during the country's freedom movement and are currently attacking the country's constitution.

It is worth noting that during the Indian independence movement, the RSS bowed its head to British imperialism. They gave them bonds. They had no role in the freedom struggle. On the other hand, the founder of the Communist Party of India, Muzaffar Ahmed, was a freedom fighter. He, S.A. Dange and Nalini Dasgupta had to stay in jail in the Kanpur conspiracy case. Later, several freedom fighters joined the country's communist movement. In 1928, at the Calcutta session of the Congress, the Communists were the first to raise the issue of complete independence, which was supported by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

It is worth mentioning that the Left Front government led by Jyoti Basu in West Bengal gave power to the poor people of the villages by organizing Panchayats, which is appreciated all over the world. In 1946-47, the Tebhaga movement was led by the Communists. Operation Barga in the state gave land rights to the poor farmers. The displaced people got land documents. Today, the Modi government wants to make those farmers lose their land through the Agriculture Bill. They want to make people stateless by implementing SIR.

CPI General Secretary D Raja also came down heavily on the Union Home Minister. He wrote, "Amit Shah's remarks in the Lok Sabha have reduced history to the level of a mere WhatsApp message. Referring to the Communist Party of India as a branch of the Communist Party of Russia is not only incorrect but also ignorant of history."

Raja mentioned the establishment of the Communist Party in India in the context of the Indian freedom struggle. He also said, "Before it was formally established, communist revolutionaries were imprisoned in British India. They were imprisoned for the crime of declaring war against the British Raj. Can the RSS present any such example?"

Raja mentioned personalities like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Surya Sen's anti-imperialist leader Sohan Singh Bakhna, and M. Singharvelu, who was involved in the formation of the labor movement. He said, "Yes, it is true that the Bolshevik revolution in Russia provided food for thought for the question of the development of national liberation movements in colonial countries around the world. Freedom fighters who were trained in communist ideology gave their lives. The Home Minister has insulted that struggle in British India."

Raja has mentioned the RSS's foreign links in detail. He recalls BS Mauj's contacts with Benito Mussolini, MS Golwalkar's admiration for Hitler. He says, "RSS's first general secretary Balaji Huddar joined the Communist Party after getting fed up with Hedgewar's British bhajans." Raja said that the RSS, which is always busy finding foreign links, is the one who is enslaving foreign masters for the sake of corporate interests. He said that because of the politics of the RSS-BJP, the indigenous people in the country are being displaced, the far-right extremism is bringing down violent attacks. Communal polarization is happening, fellow citizens are being beaten to death. He said that Parliament is a place for discussion with information, not a place for propaganda of one's own choice.

It is worth noting that Shah spoke in the Lok Sabha last Monday about the suppression of Maoists. He announced a 'Naxal-free India' by March 31.
