Reliance’s Rs 14,000 crore fraud case dismissed.

Allegations of fraud of at least 14 thousand crore rupees. Mukesh Ambani's Reliance has seized the assets of state-owned ONGC. Although the allegations are serious, the Bombay High Court has rejected the plea to order a CBI investigation. 

Allegations of fraud regarding this oil field in the Krishna Godavari basin in Andhra Pradesh have been raised at various times. The Shah Committee formed to investigate the allegations had presented this figure of fraud in its report.

Citing the report, Jitendra P Manu filed a petition in the Bombay High Court. 
Reliance claimed that its mine gas was 'free'. No one owned it. But an independent investigation found that Reliance Industries had taken gas from the mines of state-owned ONGC. It had used their wells without taking ONGC's permission. 
Although the Bombay High Court dismissed the case, there are questions about the role of the BJP government at the Centre.
Even though the CBI is being used for political reasons, the central agency is not investigating this case.
