US hegemony under challenge, Trump seeks path to aggression

Times have changed. Imperialism has also changed its character. There is no colonization. But there is a mentality of colonization. The United States has shown a new face of imperialism in today's world. It has its eyes on the natural resources of various countries. It has military bases in several countries. Why and for what reason? In fact, their imperialist policy. History has shown that they have taken advantage of the internal problems of various countries and installed their own puppet governments there. Through them, they have expanded their power there.

Now Trump has his sights set on oil. Mineral oil. The United States' desire to dominate the international oil market is not a simple commercial competition, but rather a long-term strategy to maintain its political and economic power. Trump is currently under pressure in his own country. The US economy is not doing well. The prices of goods are rising. Inflation is rising. And so the US President is trying hard to maintain his 'image' with the people of the country.

Now let's see why President Donald Trump's America wants to dominate the oil market? Experts say the first goal is to maintain the dominance of the petrodollar. The 'petrodollar' system was introduced in the 1970s through an agreement with Saudi Arabia. As a result, the US dollar became the main, almost sole, medium of exchange for oil in the international market. Every country in the world has to hold dollars in reserves to buy oil, which maintains the demand and value of the dollar in the global economy. If the oil market falls under the control of another power or is traded in another currency (such as the yuan or the euro), the global status of the dollar will be in jeopardy. Therefore, it is essential for Washington to control the oil market to preserve the dollar's dominance. Therefore, it is essential for Washington to control the oil market to protect the dollar's dominance, at a time when several emerging economies are challenging this dollar's dominance. Second, America is maintaining its own energy security and price control.

The US economy is heavily dependent on oil. Rising oil prices increase transportation costs and the price of goods in the US, which causes inflation. If the international oil market is under control, America can control oil supply and prices in its favor. America wants to maintain market balance by increasing its own production, especially to reduce the monopoly influence of organizations like OPEC.

Three, as a political tool
America uses oil as a powerful weapon. With control over the oil market and supply system, they can easily impose economic sanctions on countries outside their axis (such as Iran, Venezuela, or Russia) and cripple them. Recent attempts to establish control over Venezuelan oil or to block Russian energy exports are all part of this strategy.
Fourth, the economic profits and employment of energy corporations are also targeted.

The United States is now one of the world's leading oil and gas producers. Especially after the 'shale oil' revolution, American companies are desperate to capture the global oil market. If they can capture the oil market, major US energy companies (such as Exxon Mobil or Chevron) can earn billions of dollars in profits, which will strengthen the US economy. In fact, this goal, and none other than Trump himself, has been made clear during the invasion of Venezuela.

Fifth, observers say one of America's biggest goals is to contain the rise of China. China is the world's largest oil importer. If the United States can control major oil sources and sea lanes (such as the Strait of Malacca), However, they will retain the power to cut off China's energy supplies in times of war or strategic need.

Now the question is, why is America looking at Venezuela and Iran? Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves (about 303 billion barrels). After Hugo Chavez came to power in 1999, he nationalized oil fields and broke the monopoly of US companies (such as Exxon Mobil). America's main goal is to re-establish control over these vast energy resources and maintain its influence in the oil market.

Hugo Chavez and his successor, Nicolas Maduro, called for a "21st century socialism" or "Bolivarian revolution," which directly challenged US imperialism. The US has been showing its anger towards Venezuela since the time of Chavez. The United States has imposed harsh economic sanctions on Venezuela for years, which have weakened the country's economy.

On the other hand, the US conflict with Iran is not just a matter of occupying a country, but a geopolitical struggle over the balance of power and nuclear security in the Middle East. The main concern of the United States and its allies (especially Israel) is Iran's nuclear program, which Iran has publicly declared is for power generation, not weapons development. Iran has been publicly declaring that this program is not for weapons production, but for power generation. But the United States claims that Iran is secretly developing nuclear weapons, which would upset their balance of power in the entire Middle East. To date, however, the US has not been able to provide any evidence to support the claim.
Israel is the US's biggest and most trusted ally in the Middle East. Iran publicly does not recognize Israel as a state and has declared its "annihilation." Defending Israel is a key priority of US foreign policy. This Israel is fighting every Arab neighbor with the support of America. America is trying to control West Asia by keeping Israel in front.

A large portion of the world's oil market is transported through the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf. Iran is the geographical controller of the strait. If Iran were to close this route in times of war or tension, the global economy would grind to a halt.America wants to dominate the international energy market to ensure a free supply of oil and reduce Iran's influence there.

Iran often tries to use other currencies (such as the yuan or the euro) instead of the US dollar in international transactions. If a major oil-producing country starts transacting outside the dollar, the global dominance of the US dollar would be at risk.
As a result, America's activities are being conducted entirely in accordance with imperialist goals. People around the world, even on American soil, are taking to the streets to protest.
