Theist and atheist
1. 90 percent of Chinese are atheists: A survey conducted by Gallup International in 65 countries found that China, the world's most populous country, is also the country with the highest number of atheists. 90 percent of people in that country directly or indirectly deny the existence of a creator. 61 percent of people in China directly deny the existence of a creator, while the remaining 29 percent claim not to believe in their religion.
2. 76 percent in Sweden: According to official figures, only 8 percent of people in the Scandinavian country of Sweden practice religion by going to a place of worship. However, according to a Gallup survey, 76 percent of the total population does not believe in a creator.
3. Slightly less in the Czech Republic: There are no shortage of 'atheists' in the Czech Republic either. Only 30 percent of the population directly call themselves 'atheists'. However, most people are unwilling to say whether they have a religious belief. Only 12 percent of people say they go to church and pray. A Gallup survey shows that 75 percent of people in the former socialist country are atheists, because they do not recognize the importance of religion or a creator.
4. 66 percent in Britain: 53 percent of Britons surveyed said they had no religious beliefs, while 13 percent directly said, "I am an atheist."
5. 62 percent in Hong Kong: Gallup conducted this survey among 64,000 people in 65 countries around the world. This survey also gave an idea about the people of Hong Kong. It was found that 43 percent of Hong Kong people are openly atheists. Of the remaining 57 percent, 19 percent did not even consider themselves to be believers.
6. 59% in Germany: Gallup shows that 59% of people in Germany are atheists. Other European countries such as Spain, Austria and France also have large percentages of citizens who are atheists. Many people from countries with many 'theists' in the world have come to these 'atheist' countries and have found a better life. In several European countries, atheists are still the majority. However, there is no problem with the religious practice of the minority believers.
