Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is continuously spreading hatred and incitement to murder of minorities. In protest, the CPI(M) Delhi State Committee has called for a protest program at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday.
A video of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma firing at the minority Muslim community was recently circulated on BJP's own social media.
Senior CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat, Politburo members Nilotpal Basu, Mariam Dhawale, Central Committee member Kaninika Ghosh and other leaders were present at the protest program today. Speaking at the protest, Brinda Karat said, "This shooting incident is not just an attack on a minority community but an attack on the Constitution of India. "Such open display of violence and communal hatred by a person holding a constitutional position is a grave danger to the democratic structure and secularism of the country."
