The Aam Aadmi Party has termed the joining of seven party MPs, including Raghav Chadha, to the BJP as 'illegal' and 'unconstitutional'. The AAP has written to the Rajya Sabha Chairman requesting the disqualification of the seven members.
Even after breaking the 'AAP', the BJP alliance is still behind the NDA majority in the Rajya Sabha by 17 seats. 'AAP' removed Raghav Chadha from the post of deputy leader of the Rajya Sabha. 'AAP' accused him of not taking the party's statement in Parliament. After that, 7 members left 'AAP' and joined the BJP.
CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby has criticized the party's split through the central agency ED. He said that the search-defection-joining phase begins wherever the BJP loses in the elections. All democratic norms are thrown away. The joining of AAP to BJP was completed through the mediation of the ED.
Along with this, Baby said, "It is good to remember that without ideological commitment, politics becomes fragile. Power becomes a market for buying and selling." AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution and the Anti-Defection Act do not recognize a section of a party leaving the Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha and joining another party. The BJP has split the party of 7 members including Raghav Chadha. This act is unconstitutional and illegal.
