
Senior CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat, accompanied by CPI(M) leader M.A. Baby, met Sonam Wangchuk on Monday to express their solidarity. They also visited the student-youth protest site at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to extend their support. They affirmed that the CPI(M) would always stand by the students in this just struggle.
On this day, they extended their support to the movement demanding a full-scale investigation into the NEET medical entrance exam paper leak, punishment for the guilty, and accountability for the utter failure of the country’s education system, while also saluting the protesters who had launched an indefinite hunger strike demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. SFI Joint Secretary Aishe Ghosh and other SFI leaders were present alongside them. Additionally, they met with Abhijit Deep—of the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’—as well as Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
It is worth noting that on Saturday, the CJP launched a vigorous protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. SFI leaders also joined the CJP in an overnight hunger strike starting that same day. On Sunday, Sonam Wangchuk, a leader of the environmental movement in Ladakh, joined the hunger strike at the protest site. Additionally, affected examinees, parents, and citizens from various parts of the country joined the movement.
