SFI Leadership detained in Delhi for NEET Protest.

Delhi Police arrested SFI leaders and workers for protesting against the question leak of 'NEET 2026' and cancellation of the exam.

The medical entrance exam 'NEET' was cancelled today. The central testing agency NTA is failing again and again. In this situation, SFI peacefully protested in front of the Shastri Bhawan, the office of the Union Education Ministry in Delhi. At that time, the Delhi Police controlled by the Union Home Ministry intervened.

Delhi Police forcibly detained many SFI workers including SFI All India President Adarsh M Saji, All India Joint Secretary Aishe Ghosh and SFI Delhi State President Suraj Elaman.
The SFI Central Committee has strongly protested the incident. The organization's President Saji and General Secretary Srijan Bhattacharya said, "The Delhi Police have detained more than twenty-five SFI workers. The students cannot be silenced by repression. SFI will continue its movement against NTA."

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday announced the cancellation of the entire medical entrance exam 'NEET 2026' due to the massive question paper leak.
A statement from the SFI Central Executive Committee said that the question paper leak in the medical exam on May 3 was massive. Due to this, the exam has been cancelled. The SFI Central Executive Committee has strongly protested the entire incident.

SFI said that this exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency. Since the creation of this agency by the central government, there have been repeated irregularities in various all-India exams. This time too, this agency has set a precedent of their irregularities.

It has been learned that out of a total of 720 questions, about 600 questions were leaked, seriously compromising the integrity of the exam. It has been alleged that out of the 180 questions of the exam, about 15 questions were circulated in advance through a possible question paper. About 120 chemistry questions have been leaked in full.

The Narendra Modi-led government created the NTA to conduct examinations at the central level. But under its management, irregularities have repeatedly been seen in the conduct of such important examinations as medical entrance exams.

SFI said that the Modi government created the NTA by centralizing the examination system, ignoring the different needs of different educational institutions. Various student organizations, including SFI, have been saying about the adverse effects of the NTA since the beginning. SFI has demanded a transparent investigation into the issue of large-scale question paper leaks.
SFI said that due to this mismanagement by NTA, students are facing huge expenses and uncertainty. SFI has also demanded compensation from NTA to the students. Along with this, SFI also said that NTA should be abolished, recognizing that the central government has tried to centralize the system of conducting entrance exams in an unscientific and inefficient manner.
